In all seriousness - most sunroof motors have a manual drive function.
Now is this a very late P38 (51 plate upto March 2002) or a very early L322 (02 plate onwards)????
Both have a manual drive function as far as I am aware, just pop out the roof light plastic surround by the rear mirror and you should find the sunroof motor....wind it until it closes fully, this may cure the leak....
Whilst it is now fully closed and not leaking, time to check the switch and power thereto (Fuse, etc)....
Download the RAVE Manuals (search on here and ye shall find) and this will give you the electrical diagrams to follow....

Dont forget that you have drain pipes up there ??
Havent had to try the range rover yet, however, on my car I used wire and a water jet.
The drains were blocked which obviously wouldnt let the water away, this backed up and leaked into the vehicle.... Once cleared no more water leak.
Hope it helps and deffo worth a look, good luck with it

Bet he doesn't have the winding handle. Front drains are behind rear of front arch covers. Rear drains are behind front of rear arch covers. DON'T poke wire down drains from sunroof end. If you puncture the pipe you really will have a leak.

Ah the old Swann Vesta solution.
As it's so damp he may need some fire lighters to help things along, which would put the drying cost up a little.
