Hey guys and guys and girls,

Got my previous problem solved which was my knocking sounding engine. It was just the gasket to the exhaust from the turbo had blown and a bolt had fallen off it hence why it sounded like a bag of bolts! Must of been going for a while, no nice turbo whistle in the cab anymore but thankfully no smoke and it's much quieter now.

Anyway, next month my mechanic is building a chassis for me as my current one is rotten and it will be cheaper and more reliable probably just to get a new one. I was going to get a set of cellular dynamic shocks and springs however he said he has some pro comp shocks he will put on it that he has in his garage and he will get ahold of some range rover springs for me. He also recommends genuine land rover bushes rather than poly. He said I can get poly ones if I want and he will put them on but it means me paying out for them. What do you guys reckon?

Bare in mind it's not an off road monster, it's for daily driving and the bit of green laning. He reckons Rangie springs will be a mor comfortable ride. Anyone got experience with them? :)

I,ve got Disco front springs on my 90 and they are a good ride even though the 90 is lighter than the Disco:)

What springs were you using prior to the disco ones? Do they ride nicer on road? And by roads I mean typical ****e British roads full of pot holes and speed bumps .

I would say a little softer than defender ones, they ride ok not too harsh and roll nicely on corners:)
