Hi everyone!
I have a new TDV6, which is a massive improvement on my Freelander. There is a "BUT" though, because neither Land Rover nor the dealer seem able to cure the revurberations which manifest themselves through the steering wheel and pedals for much of the time when it is in motion. Their explanation is that the natural frequency of the engine happens to be the same as that of the body, and that the resultant resonance is the cause of the reverburations. Apparently it is also a characteristic across the model range, although I did not experience it in two other identical diesel models which I have driven, neither have I read about it in any press or test reports.
Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? Incidentally, I have just discovered that the problem is virtually eliminated whenever the terrain response system is set in anything other than General (i.e normal road use)
