Range Rover Speedo

Spent the evening off roading at Brick Kiln Farm, cracking night out in the dark, did not notice till leaving that my speedo is not working on my 1993 Range Rover. It was working on the way there so i think i have jolted something out of place.

Can anyone tell me where the speedo gets its info from is it cable driven or electronic on a 1993 model etc.........

Speed transducer sends electronic signal to speedo head and also to ECU. Transducer is cable driven. If transducer fails then no speedo and EFI warning light comes on; quite common. Check what type of transducer you have I think there are 2; the early ones are expensive but search e-bay they come up from time to time, last one I bought was a tenner.
