I bought one for the little lady about 18 months ago on ebay V8 3.5i Auto
had to pick it up in Birmingham. Filled the tank in Birmingham and
drove her back to Ipswich, then refilled the tank just before I got home only took £30 of petrol. must admit drove carefully most of the way.

not used every day, only when weather bad, so mpg not that important.

Have insured through Firebond as classic car £100 per annum fully comp
they also insure my series III 2.6 6 cyl for £90.

I don´t know your register numbers, but if it is 3,5 it is -89 or older.
Is that what you ask?

-91 have 3,9EFI.

F-reg is 88/89.
