Range Rover. REVERSE PROBLEM PLease read

Ok hi thanks for reading, i own a 4.6ltr V8 2002 Vogue

It is Automatic and is a beauty BUT

I have a problem it recently developed a problem with the reversing , it is as if it is slipping in and out of geaar and it only works every so often when in gear it normally just moves backwards really slowly but Revs go up really high

Probably a clutch failed, James Martin will know for sure. Sounds like a recon gearbox needed.

hi there.have had same kind of problem with my p38 2.5 auto.i changed the filter and drained some fluid from the gearbox which seemed to help a little.then had a nice man alter the timing for me;will have to let you know on that one tho as i only got it back today.hope his helps!

sounds just like clutch pack check oil probably getting blackish

Don't hold your breath that timing adjustment will effect the gearbox.
