Range rover problem re starting problem

2007 vogue diesel auto.
just had engine cleaned as kept having management light come on,
guess what its coming on again
is there a choke sensor?
when warm if stopped and started again its as if the choke is on, engine is hunting on tickover if I sit in traffic it lasts ages
on a clear bit of road gone in a mile or so.
any clues welcome

Get it on diagnostics and see why the light is on would be the first step...

Clearley not that obvious, lots do it

Guilty, I sprayed Gunk on mine,followed by a kettle of hot water then low pressure cold water hose pipe after replacing the leak off pipes.NOT a pressure washer as @Grrrrrr likes to tell everyone. Still managed to feck up number 4 injector wiring

engine is a lot more responsive especially when spooling up the turbos, engine is quieter and a smoother drive from driving it before so no not a waste of money
it was on diagnostic when cleaned and was clear of faults when they finished

what turned the light on I believe was a warm start the other day then in traffic 15 minutes of engine overfuelling? causing hunting, carbon build up light on
put some injector cleaner in this morning and lights gone out. which was why thoughts were going towards a choke sensor or the likes.


would have thought a diagnostic expert on here would recognise the fault from the description as I would do if it was not a diesel full of sensors

would this cause it to act like choke is on when starting from warm then clearing after a mile or so

carbon clean does'nt clean egr unfortunately, do they have to be replaced or cleaned manually

would have thought engine management light coming on would be a good clue towards engine cleaning rather than washing as washing doesn't actually clear any fault lights rather causes them

There's enough guessing games around at this time of year don't you think? My crystal ball is on a go slow ATM. Must check the manual,see what it lists under EML, er... clean engine.
