Did they make any? All the P38 Vogues I see on eBay are petrol, either LPG converted or not.

Is the HSE the highest diesel spec. you can get? Just curious really...

The highest spec was the DHSE - but these were only from 1999 onwards. They didnt do either a Vogue or and Autobiography in a diesel - though you find lots of these on eBay with the owners convinced they have one even though Land Rover never built one!!
When the L322 came along you could buy a Diesel Vogue as can you with the Sports.
The DHSE are well spec'd but dont have nav or other such toys unless the previous owner has retro fitted them.

Did LR never make a diesel Autobiography? See LHD P38 diesels listed as Autobiography and Holland & Holland here in France:confused:

The whole point of the autobiography was a bespoke vehicle. You chose the base vehicle and built it from that. I have seen one diesel but only one.

Sorry but that too was a fake. Land Rover never allowed it as an option. You started from a base HSE and worked up. Earliest cars were a N plate, diesel HSE's didnt appear until 1999.
I have seen 2 diesel Vogues but both were 4.6 conversions to 2.8TDI. Neither were done by Land Rover but much later in life.

The one that I know of was bought direct from special vehicles as a 97 2.5 diesel. It had unique interior colours and was solid black outside. It was definately plated and registered as an autobiography. Owned by a local garage chain owner.
