Range Rover P38 4.6 Block Cracked

Hi everyone, i am new to the site hope you can help. My brother is a proud owner of a lovely Range P38 4.6 with LPG fitted but recently had a problem with a water burst hose, had it replaced but it was still getting hot and not running or starting to good, took it to a garage who said the block is cracked..
Can anyone advise of the best way to resolve this, i hear about things like K-Steel etc or is it advised a new block or what...??? if so what kind of costs etc ???

depends where its cracked some people have said 'irontite' works well its on fleabay bout 30 squids

Time to start looking for a new engine me thinks.
