range rover on board diagnostics obd p38 4.6

Hi all, I have been looking at buying the on board diagnostics software and cables from rugged computing. Has anyone bought this and used it with any feedback. From all the adverts it looks like just what I want. Thinking of just diving in, I like the idea off seeing what the v8 is doing.

looks like your just getting an oddc scanner and a copy of easunlock in a fancy package. Testbook or faultmate are the way to go if your looking for a real diagnostic tool for rangies

I have a Bearmach Hawkeye V5 and that is pretty good. Works on all P38s, not tied to VIN.

Faultmate is the dogs and the Bearmach V5 sounds like it will do most things apart from BECM direct access.

The Faultmate and Testbook are pretty expensive, Anyone know where the best place to get this from is price wise.

The P38 I have has had the Alarm disabled because the rouge RF signals where draining the battery. So I believe it thinks its Dubai at the moment. Aparantly changing the county disables the Alarm.

Anyway I believe I have to change this in the BeCM.

Plan on Keeping the P38 for a long time so I am eager to try and get a complete Diagnostic system for it now, so I won't have to struggle later.
