Hello. I own (lease) a 2009 Range Rover Autobiography. Have enjoyed the car greatly until about a month ago. While driving at night going 75 on the freeway, car suddenly lost all power. Dashboard, all lights, and ignition all suddenly failed. Car rolled to stop on side of freeway. Pushed "start" switch to stop/off position. Then again pushed start switch and car started normally. Drove home. Since then, car has numerous odd faults such as "diminished performance", "front alert warning failure", "suspension failure". Have taken car to dealer several times. Upgraded software and other repairs have not fixed the problem (which I suspect is some computer issue). Wife refuses to drive car after power failure and dealer seems unable to diagnose and fix problem. Has anyone ever had these problems? Any ideas how to fix. Thanks for the help, if there is any.

:welcome2:

If it is a lease vehicle I would call the Lease company and insist on getting it fixed or they provide a replacement....

You are obviously paying for a fully maintained and road worthy vehicle and they have a duty of care to provide this to you under contract....

Don't do any maintenance yourself as this could invalidate the Lease contract....

Get back on the phone and give them merry hell, until they fulfill their end of the contract.

I know this is a long shot but ......
Identical issues with my 2001 p38. Much testing etc, (including by garage) never find fault THEN happened one night when luckily a landrover "buff" around.
Despite testing perfectly every time he was adamant it was the alternator. New alternator - end of prob.
Explanation for car starting after pause was battery down whilst driving, battery recovers enough to start car in the 30 seconds of halt, reset, start, intermittant alternator fault recharges battery, then when under load and alternator output low battery gradually flats etc. Error mesages all to do with low voltage to control module.
