range rover electric system

I recently had the electrical system on a range rover 2.5dse replaced at huge expense after it was water damaged
The car was returned to us and wasnt driven for a couple of weeks as we were arranging to put it on the market to sell.
When I went to drive it I found the petrol cap wouldnt open and the rear doors werent connected to the central locking system
I took it back to the garage and was told the wires to both rear doors and the petrol cap had 'burnt out' miraculously at the same time (although we hadnt used the car)
They have tested it and said if we replaced these (150£ plus each) all will work well
However I now find the SRS light keeps flashing, the battery keeps draining when the car is being left because the supsension keeps lifting, the display occasionally says the ignition key is in the igntion when it isnt and the rear window wont stay down
I'm looking for professional advice on what on earth is going on - if anyone can help!

Or if you've already paid for it, tell them to get it done for nowt, or you'll take it to trading standards, etc.

They say say they checked the whole system before they released it to us and have checked it again a few days ago and say that burnt out wires to the rear doors and petrol release door are a coincidence - that they burnt out
The other things have happened in the last few days (sms, rear window etc) so I will be taking it back to them - just want to kow if anyone has any experience / expertise in this area. How on earth is it possible for three wires to burn out and what is the possibility of this happening if the electric system is fine? (which its obviosuly not - but the garage are saying is???)

A fuse should normally blow before the wires burn. I'm inclined to think the garage may have either screwed up, or bodged it.
You may need to get an "Expert" assesor to look at it.

The suspension can't lift without the ignition on, or there is something seriously wrong with the EAS wiring! It drops due to the self levelling, but that doesn't use much juice. The compressor certainly shouldn't run.

Battery drain could be anything, going by what you've described (but probably not the suspension).
