4.6 P38. They used to advertise them for sale in the southwest autotrader and sometime back one of the land rover magazines did an article on the conversion. Of course i have no idea how they got it to work but they did do a few.Was that on te P38 or the Classic?

Getting the engine to work is not the problem, it's what to do with all the systems that run through the BECM that will no longer be connected to anything.

Buy a diesel P38 will cost less and have just as many problems but easier to sort out

hi could do with some advice replacing my knackered 4.6 engine with a mitsubishi 2.8 diesel .it has a gearbox conversion plate to fit my auto box but i think the electrics might be tricky . its the later thor type engine i am replacing any help much appreciated
hi thanks for everyones advice i suppose in an ideal world i would prefer to put a top hat linered 4.6 engine which would be a lot easier but i havent got three grand plus to do that.
