I had a good look around a classic that my local 4x4 garage were rebuilding saw it before, during and after, the owner who had, had it from new and didn't want to lose it had it done, have to say well worth the time and effort looked superb, so if you have the time notion and the knowledge go for it reckon the result and satisfaction will be well worth all your effort.good luck if you decide to go for it.:)

They're not difficult to weld, most external panels unbolt & give access to the bits that rust.
I've currently got the front nearside wing off mine for some repairs to the footwell & inner wing. If possible, cut away the corroded areas otherwise you'll finish up with layer upon layer of rusting metal.
Use card to make templates, easier to cut card than keep trimming bits of metal!
For major parts you can find most on sites such as YRM Range Rover Classic - YRM Metal Solutions
Angle grinder with 1mm discs for cutting new metal from sheet & cutting away bad bits. advantage over shears/snips is lack of distortion & speed - they're like a knife through butter.

Glad to see you've chosen to repair it. :) As has been said, there are far too few classics these days and they're getting fewer and fewer.

Good luck, look forward to seeing your progress. :)
