hi all

i currently have a freelander TD4 i bought it a while back for my wife, then i decided to get another 4x4 for myself, so i ended up with the isuzu trooper, its nothing fancy but it does the trick, but im now bored with both of them and am going to sell the isuzu and i have my heart set on a range rover, nothing mental, just a 3 or 4 year old HSE maybe, it has to be diesel and as it will be the main car for the family, safe, reliable, and just as important, the mutts nuts

i realise a lot of you know your stuff on here, and i would welcome any advise,

thanks in advance

hi all

what did she do to deserve this!! poor poor lady!!

i have my heart set on a range rover, nothing mental, just a 3 or 4 year old HSE maybe, it has to be diesel and as it will be the main car for the family, safe, reliable, and just as important, the mutts nuts

my experience is with the older p38 and the newer RR's probably cost more than i paid for my house!!!

i would look for a car with a good service history and one that has had the recalls and problem ares fixed, i.e the front prop shaft on one of the newer models had to be modified.

when you look through the history of the car don't think 'look at all the problems' when you see loads of reciepts, think ' look at all the cost and work that I won't have to do cos sum other mug has had it all done for me'

don't jump in and buy the first car you see as there are plenty out there and some are a bag of crap.

this site will give you a bit of guidance with RR's in general and the newer ones too Range Rovers scroll down past the adverts to see the buying guides and problems and fixes sections on the left
