Hi all any way to remove gearbox top up bolt? Someone has done a oil change before and over done the bolt up. worse than that it's been rounded off,
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks Shane

Just been looking for ATF to change oil is
Comma MVATF & PSF ok for 2005 RR 5 speed gearbox
Thanks Shane

You must use the correct spec stuff in the gearbox or the box will have problems, the box was designed to use a certain oil so go with that even if it is not cheep its still a lot less than a gearbox rebuild.

Ok thanks, what is the correct oil to use ?
I've found on websites people recommend
Different oils,
Any help would be appreciated Thanks Shane

I've been told that this would do the job, but now I'm more confused,

Is it the TD6 with GM box?

If so, then go for a Dexron III (H) ATF oil, this is unlicensed now so it isn't all that expensive, but you do take a chance by just buying the Home Bargains special uh.

The oil listed in Range Rover Workshop Manual is Texaco ETL-7045E Auto transmission fluid, but as you see from this Texaco page: https://www.texacolubricants.com/en_uk/home/products/texamatic-7045e.html - the image shows the oil defined in the workshop manual is just Dexron III (type G), the type H is backwards compatible.

Not sure if it's GM or not what's the difference?
