Hi There,
does anyone know who will repair a lear amp in a 2004 rangie or where i could get a second hand one
Cheers

Hi Kurgan (great name! one of my buddy's is called Kurgan - you're not him are you?)

What's your fault? Broken spikes in the connection box or wet ingress/corrosion?

I have a spare working amp which you can have at cost. However you must be absolutely sure that the connectors are the correct ones. I ended up buying 3 amps as they all had different (i.e. wrong) connections!

I will PM you pics of the connector or you can do the same to me and I will check all 3 amps to see which one is correct.

Where in the UK are you? If close to Bristol/Bath we can meet up.

Hi There,
its water ingress and its corroded the connectors and blown the amp pm me for the price of the spare amp, its the lear model i need with the sat nav plug if that makes any sence , but willing to do business

hi kurgan , ok matey yes ring joe and if he cant sort it i have a contact for a shop in lincoln if you post to him he will repair and test and post back to you cost about £ 80 not bad considering the stealers charge £342.. for a new one .. when u refit it where the connector goes into it make sure you cover connector and cable in water resistant spray so it wont happen again ,, i had exactly same prob now all sorted ..cheers mozz ,:)

Sorry to bring this problem back up after all this time, did you get the amp sorted if so what did you do,I'm having the exact same issues and need to get it repaired cheers Darren

Hi Darren, if you can photograph your connector in the amp, I can see if mine will be suitable. It is fully operational and is a spare as I bought 3 different ones when replacing mine!

Thanks for the number,I rang them today unfortunately they said they couldn't say if it was repairable or how much it maybe without seeing it which is fair enough ,so not sure whether to risk paying for it to be sent just to be sent back.
