random question guys

you know when your moving in traffic, and your barely touchin the accelerator and you come off it and then back on barely, why does the defender jerk forewards for no apparent reason?!?! and dont say its cuz im pressing the accelerator its a td5, was just wondering, probably just my bad driving skills haha

Its cos its electrically linked and very sensitive. wedge your foot up against the side of the footwell that'll reduce it abit.

Either that or a huge amount of play in your drive train? How many milled has it done 300k ???

The TD5 "fly by wire" is known for being a bit sensitive. Which is why the ECU electronically reduces the throttle sensitivity and increases the pedal travel needed to get to full throttle when you select low range. It also makes things a bit easier on the transmission. You can get the ECU mapping changed so that you use the full travel of the accelerator pedal when in high range as well as low range instead of the half to two thirds on the standard mapping. I had mine done by Gary at TD5Alive and it reduces the kangaroo effect to virtually nothing.
