Pretty sure mine wouldn't, but I've recently joined Viking 4x4 and looking semi-seriously at doing some of the Odyssey winch challenges next year. Not, I think, with a chance to win a championship, but as a way to push my personal limits a bit more! And I love technical stuff that we can't do on Green lanes!

I’m with you both on the back issue.

The rally has been lucky with the weather this week. Fairly sure it would have been a tad more interesting if it had been chucking it down.

It seems they won. Just watched the rallye interview, got the feeling they may have enjoyed themselves :). Oh well, may be they will be out to defend their title next year. Glad to see everyone got back, that’s a win in anyone’s book.

Pass on my congrats please. I am off to make a ‘cafe here’ sign and work on a particular Bulgarian phrase :D

Yeah, I knew they'd won overall, but it's only provisional till it's announced ... despite the finish line photo's etc .. :)

Hope the cafe prospered over the weekend then!

I've been watching this and the Croatia trophy mostly on youtube for a few years now and always meant to do 'something' similar. At 58 I'm a little late getting back into competition but we'll see .. :)

Yep, but am guessing there is too much beer flowing for the rallye team to update the website, still have the fingers crossed for them.

Haha, coffee and drum sticks, a great roof sitting picnic. I’ll have to look into building a viewing platform up there with swivel chairs.

Pffft, if you want to do, go do. Do the adventure class and go from there. I like orienteering etc and the possibilities are endless here.

That is a great plan, not so damaging to the back.

I have always fancied trying rock crawling myself. Some almost hard to believe stuff on the net.

I think the award ceremony makes it official!

Well done to the team, they certainly deserved it! And the bonus of a guaranteed entry into the Russian event next year? A great surprise for them. They will have to come back next year and defend their title.

I think they have their nerves surgically removed and are out of their tiny trees! Do they wake up in the morning and wonder how to get to work in the most awkward way possible?

Only if they live on the other side of the purpose built spray concrete course, I should think! :D

One of the things I like about it is that it isn't actually dangerous to the drivers, because they are strapped in to a safety cage, and travelling less than walking pace. And the spectators can come right up to within a few metres, no keeping them hunderds of yards away behind tyre walls and Armco barriers.

It does look heart-stopping sometimes as a spectator, but when you're strapped in and focussing it's perfectly normal! As a yoof I raced sidecars, mostly as passenger, which many people regard as "feckin'st00pid" but again, to me, it was just natural .. :) I've competed at something all my life, but not for the past few years and am getting itchy for it again ... The adrenaline kick is too much .. ;)
