Hopefully somebody could point me in the right direction or have one kicking around??

I have a landrover 22DC597/60L Radio cassette with no wiring loom and would like to connect it to the existing loom. There appears to be four connectors visible in the dash plus the antenna?

I guess one is CD Changer, second Clock , with the other two being speakers and power supply? I basically need the loom to be able to connect the radio unit to these connectors! Are they available still or will i need to search the scrap yards or does anyone have a spare ??
Thanks for your help!

If its the radio im thinking of, you'd need ISO to BMW (round pin) plug. basically the lead in the image below.

Yes that looks like it will do it! What about the other two cables in the dash? one looks like its the CD changer and the other looks like it heads up to the clock? Where would these be inserted??? (keep it clean!!)

Halfords do loom adapters. If you take your head unit in to them, they will be able to give you the correct loom.

Matt
Thats for this info! Halfords seemed to have plently of go fast stripes and dustbin exhausts for the chavs but nothing useful like a iso adaptor, so the search goes on!

They had every type exept the one i was after! As ususal the staff are pretty hopeless and can't tell you if they can or will be getting them in!

The one on the link above looks like it will do it so that's probably where i will go! Just not sure if this powers the CD changer /clock as well of if i need more cables ??

if you mean the CDChanger and the screen, they are completely different connectors. get handy with a soldering iron. as there is no adaptors for those...

you should have
  • Power
  • speakers
  • CDC
  • Screen
  • Antenna
Poking out the dash. only issue i can see is not being able to see what the stereo is doing...

Hopefully if the image has up loaded you will see whats hanging out my dash ! The two connectors in the background will fit in the iso adaptor, but not sure if the two connectors in the foreground are required?

I'm guessing one is CD changer the other maybe the clock?? but not sure where these go into the radio! there are two square sockets on the back of it but nut sure what they are for????

well the wide, thin connector is the clock, you wont connect this to your new head unit, and nor will you connect the cd changer unless your new one supports it.

all you will need to connect is two of those connectors and the antenna.

the speakers and the power, the power should have red and yellow cables on it and the speaker plug should have more cables then the power connector that are grey and purple cables.

so, just dont connect the two that are shown in your picture. thew other two in the background is all you require

hope this helps

Hi Hippo
What i am trying to do is put a landrover radio cassete ( serial number above) back in! I just removed a nice JVC which i want to put in another car! I thought going back to a LR radio i could use the CD and plug the clock back in!!
Cheers,
Fumes

I'm looking for an adapter but the connectors on the wiring the comes out of the dash are 2 blocks of 8 female connections, which is what most of the adapters seem to have. I need some male pin connectors.

you would be better off asking this question in a new post, rather than a 3yr old one, after first having introduced yourself as a new member in the relevant section as per forum etiquette
