Hi,

Not been on forum for a while everything as been ok but?
Started car up today and radio,sat nav,and warning lights on dash turn them self`s on and of loads of clicking think these relays.:confused:
car is a 2001 p38 30th anniversary.

Anybody had this problem before
any help would be great.

You *may* be able to get at it without taking the seat out, but it is easier to remove the seat....

Disconnect the battery before you remove the BeCM....

Open up the case ensuring you are grounded to something...sit next to a radiator (off) and touch the pipe to earth yourself to disipate static....check inside for signs of moisture and corrosion, clean it with a good quality electrical cleaner that evapourates without leaving residue....then place the open BeCM in the airing cupboard to dy out....

Reassemble after earthing yourself again...
 
Hi tried diconecting sat nav before due to haaving loads of problems with it but it still same fault.

Just run wife to work and it turned it self of twice and then seems to sort it self out forgot to say it knocked radio of and had to put key code back in.
seems to do it on start up and driving for 5 mins then stops.
