Hi all. i have a 2010 D4 XS. i can turn the radio and Cd on without engine running and it works fine... if i run engine then the Radio, DAB and CD drop in and out. I have checked battery and Alt output...both perfect... speakers keep "clicking when it does this... only goes off for a second or two then does it again after a few more seconds. Any Ideas??

Are you sure it is happening on both DAB & CD?

My new van has a DAB radio in it and it's really struggling with DAB reception these last weeks.

It does sound much more like a loose connection in the head unit though.

Yes it can Start even if im playing a Cd. then i turn radio on and it continues. it can start on Radio, Dab or normal. when i turn off the set and im driving the dab...radio..and CD buttons all blank out on touch screen and i still get clicking through the speakers....phone connection and Sat nav work fine....im so confused.

Sounds as if amp has got an issue or MOST circuit is damaged / not working correctly
Thats something i can look at over the weekend then....although all i can do is open it and check for lose bits or dry joints.... thanks for the tip....ill let you know what i find...cheers

So MOSTbus is all lit up and looks ok...Amp connections all ok... Input Voltage at amp with just ign on 12.4v....run engine voltage jumps u to 14.8v...so im going to try a voltage stabiliser in it as my theory is its pumping too much in and somethings getting warm and breaking down....Watch this space....yes ive got a couple of Fire extinguishers handy.......
