Radio code problem

Hi all
im having trouble entering my radio code.
the car is a 93 disco 200 tdi commercial,with the standard Land rover stereo.
i can get the right numbers up, but cant seem to enter them in the memory
any ideas?

sorry forgot to mention,
the display is green and blank, doesnt say anything,until you enter the code numbers, then all you get is the four numbers you have entered.
( No enter code etc??)
once i have the four numbers ready ,i cant seem to enter them.
