radio behaving funny

radio on disco behaving funny,
earliers the alarm went off while parked in the drive,
about an hour later the radio was comming and on and off on it own ?
waht is going on here?

ah, gremlins, time to bring the goat to the altar and appease the gods of lost volts, high resistances and burnt insulation....

check where yer power is goin, meter on the battery and start pullin out fuses.... do it quickly, you wouldnt believe how quick a bad loom can start a vehicle fire, whereas, I, unfortunatly, do

could a leak do this ? it was raining when it occured, fine since but no rain, when is the radio powered from ?

dunno. possibly, unlikely id say, it would have be leaking around the fusebox or behind the dash, in either case id expect problems with other electrics too. may i suggest a buggered radio? is the radio keycode item, ie linked to the alarm?

I dont have a key code, I changed the battery last year and I did not have to to get a key code when the new one was installed .

maybe the ignition is coming on and off, is there a solenoid that could do such a thing?

lots of rain last week, and lots of funny stuff with the radio and the alarm system activating,
took off the pillar trims at the windscreen, windscreen leaking badly around the sealent
it look like the sealant has failed completely as the water is not just in one spot
off the the windscreen co's in the next few days !!
