I replaced my TD5 rad after puncturing it greenlaning a couple of weeks ago. I got a new one from Island 4x4 for about £115. next day delivery.
Is it OEM ? ... who knows, it fits, it works and the engine runs slightly cooler than before... maybe the old one was full of mud!

Does anyone out there know why the upper of the two 16mm pipe connections on a new TD5 radiator would be blanked off?

After a few calls the only thing I came up with was that the cooling system was too efficient so the oil cooler connection was blocked off to allow the engine to get hotter, the pipe connector was left there to avoid any re plumbing, somehow the letting the engine get hotter bit sort of goes against the grain

I don't know but I have a feeling the black & decker may be coming out if the original has a hole I don't like the idea of it over heating

a cooler engine isnt going to run better, in fact it's more likley to run worse than if it was at it's optimum temp

you missed my point! 100 c is the same as what ever it was in f but centigrade is newer! hence...... dont matter im going to bed night all....;)

I just found it strange to block it off totally by all means restrict it but this makes it a dead leg in the system
