Hi, my 110 is a FFR spec but the 24v electrics have been removed. It has the oil cooler fitted which I understand was only fitted to the FFR to help with cooling when the vehicle would be stationary for long periods of time with the engine running to power to comms kit.

Is it possible to remove the oil cooler to simplify matters and fit a 'standard' rad? Any issues with this?

Is it the non-turbo diesel?

And the cooler definitely isn’t a gearbox cooler or something like that?

It can probably be removed, I had no oil cooler on my ex-mil 90

Mine (2.5na until I ragged it out!) used to cool rapidly as soon as the vehicle was ticking over when stationary. You’ll be fine with the oil cooler removed but I doubt there will be any real benefit tbh
