Hi guys,

As mentioned above I am attempting to start a new venture supplying new upgrades to fellow Land Rover owners and enthusiasts.

To begin I have developed these... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130690513477?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
I have placed them on ebay at a low price purely to see what demand is like and to get feed back on my product. In my (biased) opinion they are the best on the market! (I have purchased othersfor comparison) I am offering a 10% discount to all LANDYZONE members.

If you would like to purchase a pair please buy them via ebay and I will refund you the discount via Paypal.

I intend to start developing and at the moment am investing in the production of other upgrades that I will ensure are perfect and of the best quality - no cheap and nasty here (or mass imports) Quality is what we all want - at the right price.

Every time I develop something to my acceptable specifications I will show you guys. Once there are are enough items I will start to go to the Land Rover owners shows.......... I haven't even thought of a name yet......but 'Future 4x4' is my favourite so far.

If there is a steel or aluminium upgrade that folks want - let me know - we can work together.....

Years ago I worked at John Craddocks and I still run my P38 and have a Defender nearly ready for a respray so I am one of you guys with the same problems and need for guidance from Landyzone!!

Anyway, I hope that you like my products and enjoy your discount and site sponsorship.

Best wishes,

Alan. 'FUTURE 4X4'

Good luck R6NGC

My best advice for getting business and good feeling from this forum are as follows:

Do not shove you rproduct in people's faces...(that does not mean I am saying that you are doing it ... just that it is tempting to do so). Instead... when you see a reference to a product that you are experienced in... offer advice.... andmention that you can offer a product that might suit their needs.

This is not then spam, it is advice. It is not a way to skirt the spam rules it is purely saying that it is fine to offer products in perspective to the conversation.

I would say that the most useful thing I have done is offer advice. Sometimes people willask for advice on a subject (in my case tracking systems). Offer unbiased advice - refrain from saying that yours is the best and explain why some design aspects of yours may be preferable to the competition's.

Finally.. and this is the single most important thing I can think of to offer....

Service

Answer every question fully... if it means twenty or thirty emails to get a £20 sale then do it.... takephone calls at midnight because someone is in their garage having an issue with a product... email them at 9 am because their email turned up at 8:45

These people will be yours (an mine) route to success. Nothing sells on LZ and other forums likeoutstanding service.

Oh and one other important thing (of which I have experience)

Never be afraid to say you got it wrong.

One of my loudest advocates is a man to whom I had to say: "I got it wrong and I have wasted 10 hours of your time". He was so glad to get the right advice after I corrected my error that he ordered over £1000 of my product within 24 hours.

Good luck with LZ. They don't care what they say but they are the same people you would meet in your store - just less polite ( a lot of the time)

Hope some of this helps.
