Hi,
My 110 TD5 died on the motorway today from lack of drive in any gear except 4th. I'm guessing something to do with stripped teeth to layshaft or shattered bearing maybe. Every other gear is selectable but no drive and there is a rumbling noise from the gearbox when the clutch is let in.
I've kinda assumed I'm into a new gearbox but just thought I'd get enlightened input from the experts out there amongst you!
If this is the case, I need to get it replaced pronto. Any suggestions for somewhere reliable to get it done at a reasonable price? I live near East Grinstead, West Sussex (about 20mins from Gatwick).
