R380 Gearbox crunches when going into 1st

My gearbox crunches when you put it in first unless you're completely stationary, when I say crunches it's one of those noises that makes your face screw up

The clutch seems OK as are the other gears, it's not really a problem as I've learned to stop before putting it in first but I just wondered what the long term prognosis is, new gearbox or will it just stay like this forever as long as I don't crunch first

fix it ,it will contaminate oil and bugger the rest,they are rather prone to baulk rings,

Check that clutch as per manual first,then check gearbox oil leval and sometimes just fresh oil can help it run right.

if it was clutch it wouldnt attempt to go in ,grating is worn baulk ring no longer been able to grip gear cone

I aggre,but no harm in doing the easy checks first.
