Hi All,
First time driving my new 90 after sorting it's smoking habit. Seems to drive well other than needing a new shock and prop uj. The only issue that is slightly concerning is that if I rev it up high shifting from 1st to 2nd I get a crunch. It's fine in the first half of the rev range and changing down from 3rd to 2nd and up/down all other gears. The clutch seems fine although it's a bit squishy so a fluid change Is in order (it's been off the road in driven for 4 years) any ideas what could be causing it and what could fix /improve it.

Cheers

you shouldnt be revving and changing gear, change box oil, ensure clutch clears fully

My experience with the 380 gearbox tells me that they don't like changing gear if there's any hint of drive getting through from the engine. So I'd investigate that 'squishy' clutch. Bleed a bit more fluid through, and see if you can adjust a bit more master cylinder travel into it via the nuts on the master cylinder actuator rod, so as to ensure the slave cylinder is also moving to its fullest extent.

My gears were getting difficult to change a week or so ago and i topped up the fluid and wound the adjuster nuts out a turn or two and it is much better.
