r380 fault or incorrect oil

Mine was an Lt 77 but it went the same way slowly getting more and more difficult to get in to 2nd and then eventually it was double declutch for 2nd and 3rd started getting worse. I put a recon in . magic, changes gear no problem at all now. Much better like driving a car, wish I had done it earlier.

Why is it fine when warm though?

as well as dog teeth wearing so not guiding synchro hub fully ,baulk ring has to strip oil and grab gear cone to match gear to synchro temp and oil can effect how well it does it

Cheers James. Do you think its pot luck then which oil will suit it the best?

in a new box it would matter less, but i only use atf or mtf both seem better than the other at times
