Hi,

standard tyres are 235/85r16 and r 265/75r16. These have a rolling diameter of 32 inch. So will the extra inch cause a noticeable problem of any sort?

Unlikely that any of those will actually be 32 inches in real life.

I have a set of BFG Mud 285/75/16 and they measure 32 inches.

Don't need any lift with them and don't fit one unless you want 35s or something like that.

I run 305/70x16 Mickey Thompson AT's on 8x16 Pro comp alloys with the same offset as the original boost alloys which means I haven't adjusted the lockstops as I swap between the 305's, 235's and 265's (235=31.7",265=31.6" Diameter) when needed. The tyre diameter of the 305's is 32.8" and my Puma is not lifted and I have never had any clearance issues off road. I use this handy site for tyre comparisons: Tire size calculator

Thanks for everyone's replays so far. I'm thinking I'm gonna get some big tyres and then consider a lift if I get any fouling issues. It certainly seems like alot of people have not had any issues however I think this may be down to the offset of the wheels.

It would be good if u guys could post ur tyre sizes along with wheel offset so we can create a decent guide of what works and what doesn't.......

Just to let u know I ended up buying 285 75 r16's. I out them on some 7j smiths alooys (not sure of the offset. I already had 30mm spacers on. I had to adjust the locks tops. But apart from that they seem fine. I've taken them off road and so far I haven't encounter any fouling that I noticed....

I got at2's and they are great I ice and wet. Off road I thought I'd have problems in mud, but I thought they did well. I do get a bit if toque steer now, but I like it! :)

Slight diffence in gearing now, but more problem as such, just need to drive a bit different.

Hope this helps future readers of this post. Thanks guys
