Quick Spotlights Question

Hello,

My relay kit tells me to wire my spotlights into the main beam wire. Should I be wiring them into the main beam or full beam wire considering that I only want them to come on with full beam (no switch)?

i wired mine in from scratch!

it should be wired into your full beam which is also your main bean as they are one and the same full beam = main beam rather than dipped beam

why do landys have a dipped beam, you can bearly seefecck allon full beam wiv no additioal lights!!!! gettin me an a bar and set of big spots next month wiv a wiring kit!

landy gets washed most days but its darker in scotland this time of year than in essex. New lights were fitted for mot 2 months ago

I would love one of those but a bar and spots will do for now specially when they gonna be 150w lamps wi side light rigs in em too and ventually gonna get roof bar wi 4 spots also

the roof lights are awesome. didnt think much of them till i went wading in the dark! the chap i was with couldnt see anything as his headlights went under the water! haha! their worth it.

i suggest you wire in a manual override switch pos, espeically if they are roof lites cos otherwise mr plod wont be very happy. im not sure on the legality of extra bumper lights but i beleive roof lights are illegal on the public highway.

I do have a switch if I need it, but I don't see why it'd be illegal to have to spots on my bumper. That's what they're made for!

Main beam is full beam.
Dipped beam or main beam is what yer headlights do

dint i jest say that?
nowt wrong with roof lights aslong as there only on with main beam, but it is advisable that they are independant as wading with main beam on will feck your bulbs if there under the drink
