Spares and Repairs. £500 (will accept offers!). Offroader Landrover discovery 300tdi. Engine is perfect with £1300 of work done last year. Rear Diff is making some nasty noises so will probably need replaced. Needs MOT and Tax but its done about 30 miles since last MOT and had wheel bearings done. Battery dead, but does jump start.

Mileage - 141789 was listed on the last MOT (2011) we promptly busted the rear diff and havn't touched it since. Safari Snorkel, roof racks, lights, breather kit, mud tyres.
Heaters dont work, and door card needs replaced. It does need some TLC!

ANDOVER AREA.

Ah i see you've did the old 'Newbie makes pointless comments on every thread so he can get his post count over 50 just to sell his vehicle' trick. How original. Use autotrader in future

So let me get this clear.
You want £700 & a quick sale...............................Good luck.

'This vehicle is best suited to someone who just needs a lump to throw about the plains'

Lol..any old piece of ****e will do for laning NOT

There you go Nathan, have edited it specially for you.

It does say open to offers, I have no idea how much discos are worth in this condition but with all the extras.

I'll give you £250 for it given that it would need to be trailered away and is in a non-running state with no MOT or tax and has a bust rear dif and internally is in a poor state.

Bloody hell just noticed how much he was after for it. I saw an immaculate top of the range disco at a scrappy and they wanted 750 for it, just needed a new front bumper. It was in better nick than that anyway

As I said Wolf, I have no idea what it is worth, hence I thought maybe coming to a landrover site I might be better advised. But You have all made your feelings perfectly clear, maybe I was naive to attempt sell a landrover on a landrover forum.

Not at all, we're a very friendly lot but the forum doesn't take kindly to new members upping their post count just to sell something, hence the 50 'constructive' post rule. By all means hang around, you'll enjoy it :)

Thought I'd chip in here as I know Carternm and the car.

The Chassis is sound, no rust. The boot floor is fine. The Engine was rebuilt (By a Landy specialist near Hungerford that many of you may know) so is as sweet as you can get. It's got good condition Mud tyres, roof rack with lights, Safari snorkel, Diff guards, CB radio etc etc. The advisories on the MOT last year were wheel bearings. These were replaced and it has done very little mileage since then (Can be proven by the MOT certificate). It does run and drive (Maybe a new battery needed), but the rear Diff makes a nasty noise so will likely need replaced. Most of you guys that know what you're doing could probably do this in 2 hours and a Diff from ebay won't break the bank. £200 for parts and a bit of time, you have yourself one of the best mechanically sound 300Tdis out there. Just needs a little tlc to get it there.

Carternm31 has been a member of the forum for nearly 5 years, and has never broken the rules, so lets go a bit easier on her :). She just needs some help to raise some cash.

Well sorry for being 9 posts out. Seriously though, what is this worth in parts?

For the state it is in for a whole vehicle, my offer is fair. For the kind of money you were asking it would need to have some MOT and be drivable.

If you want to break it yourself it will take time, effort and to an extent some specialist tools (engine hoists and a like) however, you will be able to make a lot more money on it.

If you spend 10 minutes on eBay you'll get an idea for value for parts, just do the main components - engine, g/b t/b, axles, roof rack, tyres, etc. - Just look at completed listings, not active listings, else you'll get dissalunsional to value.

If you took it to a scrap yard you'll get about £150 for it at present.
