Morning,

A very quick question here:
How do I get into the "drum" which contains my air filter? Do I have to remove the two pipes that it's connected to, or does it just unclip and lift off?

Thanks in advance for any help

quick question? none of your questions are freaking quick! ;)

you can unclip and lift off, i would suggest you undo or loosen the top hose clamp with a screwy and the other hose if connected to a snorkel. it will just lift off and the filter is held in place with one of the wing nuts. slide the filter off and replace with a new one making sure it goes in the right way... ie. the way the old one came out.

kapppeash?

I would seriously recommend getting a Haynes manual or similar. These forums are superb, but it makes it a lot easier seeing pictures with descriptions.

Me mam's getting me one :D

I do love these forums though, I haven't been around long and I've learned so much. I've asked a bunch of silly questions too, but who doesn't at 17? I'm still learning, and I think I'll learn a lot more on here too ;)

On the subject of air filters there's a bloke sellin em on ebay for 7 quid, plus 7quid postage, when you can get air, oil and fuel filter from paddocks for 7 quid and a fiver postage. Cheeky **** if you ask me:mad:

Eblag can be a right con, buyer beware. That said, I've had a few bargains of there myself, so I can't really complain.
