Right, very short question, when a timed hot fix is fitted to the 2.5 dse, does it make the original glow plug relay redundant, ie its no longer used. So if I have fitted the kit and the original glow plug relay is broken, doesnt work, will the new kit act in its place and heat the plugs, or does it still need to work for the kit to work?

This is the one I purchased

No. You need the glow plug relay. Hotfix just switches it on by tricking ECM into thinking engine is cold. All it does is put a resistance into ECM temp sensor circuit, that tells the ECM engine is cold. ECM then switches glow relay on for starting.
