hi all
I'm new to landy zone. been reading lots of post on here for a long time. lots of great information and helpful hints. Anyway just purchased a 54 plate freelander sport 3 door. pick it up friday the 10th and looking forward to the 280mile trip home. So will let you all know how i go on
kind regards james

well hi again all well did 150 in the freelander sport and the rear diff exploded.:( did all the full lock foward and reverse checks:confused:. So gutted after being towed all the way home from penrith. So started looking for a rear diff found one and have ordered a new VCU. So first few days of freelander ownership have been very tested and expensive. :(

hi private seller so not a leg to stand on gutted. On the plus side it did drive great for 150 miles. lets see what this week brings:rolleyes:

well on the positive front the genuine swan neck tow bar has turned up that i won on ebay that is brand new in the box never been fitted. :) won the auction for £67 posted so well chuffed :D

it came with all the electrics and relay fitting instructions and a set of gloves so you don't get your hands dirty. what are land rover like its part of the fun getting dirty and cold. :D

It would be about now that the Jokes come out about gaylanders. But I dont think it would be funny.
What bad Luck, Something like that happened to me but on the front diff and I had just gone 10 miles. All I say is I hope Karma catches up with them.
All the best Vince

Hope so just waiting for the recon diff and new vcu and bearing to turn up. Big thanks to Matt for lending me a ramp to get the diff out and prop and vcu. Will let you know I get on with it and when it's back on the road. Been very lucky on EBay at the moment. Found a parcel self and sun blinds and the tow bar :) let's just hope karma is with me now:eek:
