Firstly, I've tried the search bar as usual and I can't find wot I'm looking for, as usual

Rite, my r380 box has been intermittently hard to get into first, about 1/10 times, since I got the disco nearly a year ago (any advise welcome) and I was thinking about changing the fluid. So, is there a particular oil that's known for been good for this box...I was going to try dextron lll?

Also, since it's turned cooler, my pas has got heavier. Is there a fluid I can use to lighten it up...will it like dextron lll?

Thanks

Towsey

We use standard castrol dexron III in the PAS on both D1's here. Carlube MTF in the R380 on the manual one - its very good, and improved the change appreciably. A cooler is the next step, (approx £250), but I'm hoping to bin the manual soon ( for a proper gearbox :p), so that is unlikely to happen....:D

Might be worth flushing your R380 with some cheapish ATF, ( run it for a 100 miles or so ), before putting MTF in.

Thanks for that, I'm just working my way thru the thread that discool put up the link for and you would appear to be onto something there :)
