i always leave it connected and use the orange button to turn off before removing. going outside after my cuppa to see what i can and cant get into. get ready for a long list :D:D:D

I think what datatek is saying its always return to the home menu before removing/ turning off never remove when your device is an ecu consequences may occurr :eek:
 
exactly! :) thats why i was asking if i un-did the connections for the BECM, the engine ECU on the bulkhead and cleaned the terminals with spray, if that might cure it and if i would have problems when re-connecting :)
No harm in trying as long as you disconnect the battery first and have your EKA code to hand in case you need it. However if there are no error messages and the engine is running well I think it's unlikely to be the BECM or engine ECU connectors causing the problem communicating with your nanocom. Try it on another car.

going to have another look in a bit, i was a bit tied up yesterday to do anything.

if no success, i might contact BBS and ask them to re issue the software and see IF there maybe a glitch in the system
