Hi all,

Hoping for some potential help, Been to Exmoor off roading all the lanes at the weekend (awesome) only on the last day had something develop, not strange i know but, it consists of 2 noises, the engine sounds fine but when clutch engaged and away you go i get a whirring noise that sounds like im constantly going over a rumble strip but no vibration. When set at speed it adds a kinda grating noise when touching the accelerator to keep speed consistent. Help.

When i got home i found on the back end i had completely mashed my prop donut, so while prop is off took the ol gal for a spin, oddly enough the noises had gone as it sonuded from the front, until got off carraige way then it started for a second (forgot to mention drove it home from Devon to Northampton nothing got worse or better). So assuming it is only affected when the broken part is really hot, would suggest a bearing?

Getting new donut tomo to refit the back prop and take off the front prop to try and help eliminate whether it be the front axle or the gear box as the noise does stop when the clutch is dipped, suggesting not the engine, but really puzzled and wondered if any advice could help me to locate my problem so i can fix it.

Thanks
