Hi all. I have a 200tdi 90 with an LT77 box. I'm looking for new rubber mats to put in and like the look of these which are for the latest Defender. They have a part number VPLDS0147. Will these fit in my earlier Defender? Is there a huge difference in the gearbox tunnels? There's also LR005039 which look identical but are for the 2007-2012 Defender. Any difference in these?
Cheers

Shape is different so they wouldn't fit. You could cut them about of course.

They do proper mats for the LT77 Defenders. BTR7896 for driver's side and BTR7895. I have them in my 90, very heavy duty and foam-backed. Stop a surprising amount of noise too.

Thanks for that. How do they cope holding water? The new ones have a nice lip running all the way around to hold the paddling pool that develops after every rain fall.

Just a word of caution with matts i have a full front set of sound dead inning mats fitted but once the water gets under Neath it's just like have two sponges sat in your foot well which leads to lovely rust so I have ended up back to basics small mats so the water cannot sit

No lip. The foam underneath does act like a sponge as Trailpug says, but all of them do that. I just take them out periodically and dry them off.

Fixing the footwell leaks is the other option of course.

No, it's not that bad. Whenever I'm working on the car and it's a nice sunny day I will just leave them in the sun for half an hour and it all dries up a treat.
