Hi all.

With the purchase of a commercial I'm soon going to be putting my 5 door 300tdi Disco 1 up for sale but I'm struggling to work out a value to ask for it.

Mods include:

33x12.5x15 KL71's
2" suspension lift
2" body lift
Cranked tear arms
Impreza wrx bucket seats
Custom rock sliders
Flat dog arch extensions
HD steering bars
Silicon boost hoses
De-egr kit
De-cat with side exit exhaust
Bumpers lifted to fit body lift
Extended brake lines
Snorkel with extended breathers

Along with the modifications it's also had the engine recently serviced with all fluids, belts and tensioners replaced.
The automatic gearbox gave up so the car was converted to manual with a new clutch.
Also has twin airbags and central locking.

Finally the truck is pretty dam solid. Around 5 years ago it had new boot floor, sills and front arches. Then this years mot required a small repair to one rear arch.

Bad points:

Air con needs a belt and re gas.
Bodywork shows signs of green laning with scuffs and dents noticeable.
Clutch release bearing is noisy, does not effect the way it drives,
Rear windows don't work, regualators and motors appear to be fine.

Think that covers it, sorry for the essay but looking on eBay I could put it up for £900 or £5000!
Just trying to narrow down the field a little.

Any advice appreciated.
Chris.

Id wait a couple of months until the winter is here they usually increase in price.
Make sure you wash it before you take any pics.
My pet hate is someone selling a motor who thinks it looks great covered in **** (it looks good out on the lanes but come on your trying to sell it).
Write up a decent add with any known faults and have an idea of what you want for it.
It makes no difference what people think its worth but only you know what you will take for it.

Yes I have a couple of jobs to finish before I put it up for sale (including polishing a few bush scratched out) and I was thinking waiting for 'winter tax' to kick in would be better.
I agree, going to look at a 4x4 covered in mud is stupid and irritating.

Well personally I think it is worth £2000 mostly due to the lack of rod, but like you say. Only worth what someone is willing to pay.
