Puma 2007 Radio Code

I have the code but when I enter it with the 123 and 4 buttons it just stay on the screen if I press number 5 it say error and locked up on the third attempt,can anyone tell me how to enter the code correctly.

After entering the number with the 1234 buttons, try pressing the RND button (3?) instead of the 5 button. It might work.

In my Defender TD5 owners manual there are two methods depending on the radio.
The first method is to press/tap the manual tuning search up or down button until the first number of the code comes on the display then press preset 1 button, then press/tap tuning search button for second code number and press preset 1 again, repeat until the 4 digit code is in then press the search button again.
The other method is as in this thread. But I have seen one the same as this but after putting the 4 digits in via preset buttons you then press preset 5 to finalise.

Tried the above and still no luck will try again tomorrow, thanks for the replies.

Quick update, I did the same today buttons1234 to input the code then press 5 and it worked.
