I've noticed that when advertising a landy for sale that it's mandatory to use the phrase "pulls like a train".

I'm just wondering if anyone has actually coupled up 60 100 ton coal trucks and given it a try? :D

The maths side of things suggests that it should work, obviously depends on the friction levels in the bearings on the wagon, the size of the tyres on the landy and the type of ground you are on to maintain traction, but all things being equal (which they never are) then it should work

I would recomend a 90 with either a 200tdi or 2.5NA as the turbo will be of no help here at such low speeds.

One thing i don't think it would manage would be a space shuttle launch tower mind you

the rolling weight of the trailers / trucks are no where near the actual weight, so pulling it will be the easy bit, same as you can push by hand a car on the road, weighing 2 tonnes, but ****ed if you can lift the 2 tonnes off the floor ! ;)
