Help needed my tailgate will not open I have tested the button and that is working ok which is putting 12V to the actuator. but actuator is not moving could this be the problem or can it be somthing else?? the latch in center of lower tailgate has a plug coming from it there is no voltage there should there be??

Hope someone can help as it is doing my head in

sounds like the actuator is kerbollixed.
 
If you got a spare battery or other 12v source, isolate actuatererer from car `n` put 12v across it. Should tell you if it ker-effed or no ?
 
hi mate,it sounds like one of the problems i have had,i had to replace it,not that bad.
 
Hi I have put 12V across actuator and it worked fine also got one off flebay and that is the same I have been told it could be something in the drivers door!!!!! is this possible if so what??

Just been told it is prob the locking ecu modual in drivers door so called common fault. can anyone confirm this thanks
 
lock mechanism:strip it down and clean regrease it see if it works after refitting.

or

if you mean the outstation give the plug a good clean!

if you take the door card and insulation off you'll see em!
 
it is supposed to be black box with 3 plugs and in top R/H corner I have not even looked inside drivers door yet
