I want to fit this winch which I suspect is ex seeboard or similar, to my
1989 110 CSW V8. The PTO "bit" seems to fit to the gearbox just fine and
goes in and out of gear ok.
What route should the PTO shaft take?
How should the bumper that came with it be fitted to the chassis? Seems to
have just the four bolt holes as per that standard bumber. Surely that cant
be enough for all this weight yet alone the tensions created during
winching, or am I over reacting?

I think that would depend on how solid the front of your chassis is!
