Hi folks, until recently I ran a Gaz 69 as a big boys toy, since I sold it I have messed with smaller projects like my, as yet, unfinished mini jeep.
I miss getting messy with bigger stuff and have flirted with the idea of a series landie for some time and had an eye on ebay for "the very one".
I hope to be collecting what looks to be a very nice Series 2a unfinished project next weekend. If it all goes to plan I will post details when I have it home.
In the meantime a first question, (and I did a search first, nothing useful found).
Dull/grimey Galvanised cappings, can they be brightened up with a light aplication of fine wire wool without leaving them prone to rust? Or is there as more accepted method that does not involve ali paint?
