hi there sorry if this has been asked before, but how easy is it to change rear prop. mine has started to make a loud clicking noise, so had a look and there seems a lot of play where the rear part of prop joins the centre mount.also the rubber on centre mount seems to give very easily when you move it up.down.side to side.dont want to drive it in case it destroys itself and causes more damage.have seen complete rear prop
with centre mount on ebay from bearmach for £167 quid.any advice even to burn it would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Not hard but the bolts are bloody tight
Etorx headed bolts
Cheap spanners off ebay do the job

It took me under an hour, and that included finding some larger washers to repair the heat shield.

so i had the prop changed ,and it still makes a clicking under the car .will have another look when weather gets better.

this only clicks on acceleration first to third , drop into fourth around thirty mph it stops, accelerate and it starts again.
i was told it might be a inner front driveshaft bearing,so will have to have a look when it stops raining. problem is noises from under cars don`t always
come from where you think they do.and unless i can find someone daft enough to hold on underneath the car while i drive it i might struggle to pinpoint it.

took the car to the garage for driveshaft doing due to the loud clicking, had bought a new drive shaft.
now tells me it`s the front prop.not happy:mad:

it came from ebay ,can you send it back with no reason or do i just make an excuse.

Don’t know you would have to ask (nicely) or say you just ordered wrong:(

no i was just taking their word for it.

Get underneath, grab hold of the front prop it’s not that far in, see if you can wiggle it:). It will click.

You can change just the ends of the prop but the splines need to be checked, so change the whole thing for cost v time at a garage.

i checked the front prop when i checked the driveshaft ,there was slight play when twisting it
but nothing major,my fl2 was the same and that ran fine.it was the driveshaft that had play
thats why i bought one, only had it six weeks and i want to burn it already.
