Loads of places to buy props, just make sure you get the correct ones as lengths seem to vary with the age of vehicle. Oh and don't get a britpart one. Though saying that Ive got a britpart prop on the rear and its been fine so far, going on 4 months now

I likes LR Direct - the main supplier I use now

Got their Britpart supplied Hardy Spicer props on my 90 (Britpart are the importer, not the manufacturer - although I believe these props are now made under licence in India)

Worth specifying Hardy Spicer or GKN - would avoid anything else

Hardy Spicer are GKN?

Anyway, if your yokes are worn on the UJ flanges but the propshaft splines are fine with no wear just replace your flanges and UJ's.

My front prop has heavily pitted splines where it's had no grease for Christ knows how long (my fault) so needs replacing. Only discovered this a couple of weeks back when replacing all four UJ's.

Thanks again everyone. Bede i did not see your post until tonight shame, I have ordered both front and rear props, thought just get the bloody job done. Got both for £150.00 delivered made by "allmakes" anyone used this brand??

cheap!! is as best i can do at the moment, i am afraid i use it every day and i cannot have it off the road to long, beggars cannot be choosers. Did think about getting refurbished originals but was worried about getting fooked up ****e!!

so both props are off some of them bolts were bloody stiff but off they are. Is there any things i should be looking at whilst props are off?? play in the Diffs and all that shaking things. When i had the rear off the ground spun both wheel and give them a rattle all seemed fine same at the front, the plate the props connect to on the front and rear axles gave them a turn little bit of play in them but how much play is good and how much is not? anything else i should be looking for??

Play is probably best detected with the prop on as it'll be more noticeable. Look up diff backlash, I don't think it should rotate any more than 1/8th though I may have my numbers wrong

Yep had a look 1/8 to 1/4 according to trewery is fine had a look at the splines on the front prop there is big gouges in them and thin strips coming off so good call there and the rear uj sounds like a bag of broken bones!!!!!

Whilst you won't have wanted the expense, certainly sounds like well worth swapping out - a UJ breaking up whilst you're in motion can be seriously unpleasant:(

If i have time i will be doing an Autopsy with photos tomorrow. for the learned on here and the return corrective surgery, putting the new ones on. Thank you all again for you input would have been in deep pooh:eek::eek: with out your help.

Just to say thank you to everyone who has helped with there input, changed both prop shafts today no clunking no whirring no juddering bloody great to be honest it has never driven so smoothly since i owned it!! Shame the rear cross member is shot as well, costing a mint at the moment have a new one on order from Pressbrake so it will probably out last me when its on!!!!!!
