prop removal 1.8 freelander

hi guys an landy lovers every were.was wondering is there any proof that if i remove my complete prop shaft would i get an increas in petrol mileage.hear a lot of people saying so but you never know.so please if anyone can give me info will very much apreciate it.also is propeasy to remove thx joanie babe

You'll be carrying less weight with the props and vcu off, so that will help for a start.
